I respectfully agree with this post 100% :D:D:D and my Bagwell comments were not made to address your post.

Let's see...Rose, New Bern and South Meck all took a loss in the past week. Just goes to show that there is good competiton everywhere across the state.

I couldnt go last night and about fell off the toilet when I saw that score. Edwards has pitched good this year so far so look for him to keep them close.

    Myers Park over Garinger

Myers Park won over a much improved Garinger team. The Wildcats had two hits and made some very good defensive plays in the infield. Myers Park's bats and the rain were too much, however. It started sprinkling in the second, raining in the third, and pouring by the fourth, but the umpires let it continue until it was a complete game.

Scott Brewer got the 5-inning complete game shutout. Brewer (3-4), David Castevens (2-3) and Jack Magee (3-4) all had multi-hit games for the Mustangs (3-2-1, 2-1 SW4A).

Myers Park is at Providence Thursday and Garinger travels to Butler.

    Pitchers for North:
    Porter, 4 IP, 12 K, 2 H, 1 BB, 1 Unearned Run
Pierce, 1 IP, 2 runs (don't know type but was raining cats/dogs by then) Have not received the statistics for the 5th inning.

Per report, they are calling the game a final and will not pick it up as a suspended game.

    PHS 2 East Meck 1

Despite the weather conditions, PHS eked past East Meck 2-1 in a game shortened to 5 innings by rain. East drew first blood on three walks and a hit batter in the 1st. PHS answered back in the 2nd when Mitch Besselievre Doubled to leftcenter after Ryan Semeniuk Singled to center and stole second. PHS plated the decisive run in the top of the fifth on a costly East Meck throwing error with two outs. The rain made conditions miserable in the later innings and, with two men on (both HBP) and nobody out in the bottom of the sixth, the umpires decided to call the game. The DEFENSIVE PLAYs of the GAME was turned in by Centerfielders. Midway thru the game, Cory Dunning (PHS) gunned down an East Meck runner trying to score from 2nd on a base hit to Center. Cory threw a PERFECT STRIKE to Mike Moore nailing the runner at the plate to end the inning. In the top of the sixth, the East Meck Centerfielder made a Over the Shoulder Running Catch of a Towering Drive to Dead Center off the bat of Keith Mauney. As soon as he caught it, he crashed into the fence and tumbled to the ground, but HELD ON. Both were TREMENDOUS Plays Worthy of HIGHLIGHT FILMS!!
