    Ashbrook failed to score with 1:00 left inside the 20 yardline....two or three shots at it too(12 yards short).

    MHS has the ball on the 28 yard line. It is fourth down and 10 or 12. Why do we try to punt in this situation? Run the ball and get 4 or 5 yards and let RS take over on downs from the 24. But instead we try to punt and the snap is bad and RS gets the ball on the 50. As bad as our kicking game is I thought this was a bad call by the coaches.

    Coach Hopkins is OK. He came up to the press box for the second half. He tends to get excited and his high blood pressure doesnt help either.

    Mooresville lost a very winnable game. AC is nowhere near as good as they were last year. This is no slight to them, they played well enough to win and that drive with very little time remaining in the first half was huge, it was efficient, it was stone cold money. But we could not take advantage of several turn-overs deep in Cougar territory in the seocnd half. Our QB play and offensive play selection is absolutely killing us. Things are not good at Mooresville right now.

    Ragsdale used all it's weapons tonight. Defense had two INTs (Desean Anderson - a freshman from the JV, and Derek Waden) and 3 fumble recoveries - one for a TD on a muffed punt attempt.

    On offense Derek Waden rushed 6 for 78 and a TD, Tyler Rankin 13-92 for a TD and Matt Heavner threw 5-8 for 93 yards and 2 tDs - Jarvis Siler for 65 yards and Ian Jenkins for 5yards. Nathan Cash was 6-6 on PATs.

    Still alot to work on in the passing game - Heavner is dropping snaps and the downfield passing game is non existent. But the team is improving every week which is what counts.

    Next week undefeated Grimsley at home - will be a hardhitting , low scoring game.
