West Forsyth beats Mt. Tabor 9-1

Haven't posted lately. Too much baseball in my life with both boys going. Titans moved to 1-0 in the CPC with a 9-1 victory over Mount Tabor. Adam Griffin, Dustin Myers, and David Cook all hit homeruns adding up to 4 runs Jonathan Holt went 2-3 with 2 rbi's and David Todd added 1 rbi to help the Titans to a victory. Tyler Coyle went the distance for West in a dominating way. He kept the Spartans off balance the entire night. Matt Batts took the loss for Mt. Tabor but he threw well. Tabor had a few defense and baserunning mistakes that didn't help their cause. Titans will play at RJ Reynolds at 7:30 on Friday night.

    Ragsdale 13
    Grimsley 3 Five innings

Ragsdale broke open a close game with 8 runs in the fourth. Kyle Brandenburg led off the fifth with a triple to the wall and after Logan Dunn struck out two Tigers, Jake Jones brought Kyle home on an infield single.

Billy Stone went four innings to get his first win of the season. Ragsdale now 9-1 with a big game @ Randleman on Friday if the rain holds off.

I heard Jake Strickland's (Wilson Hunt) HR against CB Aycock was another monster mash.

    Riverside update

    Riverside 12 (4-0, 2-0 conf)
    Southern Durham 2

This game was as ugly as the weather. Multiple errors by both teams, and Southern just couldn't overcome their errors and walks. Andrew Evans gets the win for Riverside and Mike Palombo homers twice.

Next game is tomorrow (maybe) versus Jordan.
