    Providence 3 Butler 0

(Prov) Tyler Zupcic was a man among boys in this game; 4/4 (3 singles and a HR) 2RBI. (Prov) Jordan Fuller threw 3 innings of shut out baseball after Richie Shaffer's 4 shut out innings last Thursday.

Butler had runners on 2nd and 3rd in three different innings, but could not get a much needed two out base hit. Butler plays at EM tomorrow night. More details later.

    Myers Park 9 Independence 3

Myers Park improves to 7-0 behind the strong pitching of Grant Fisher(2010). Fisher scattered 4 singles allowing one run over 5 innings. Myers Park pounded 13 hits led by Grant Goodson(2011) 3-4, J.D. Ey(2009) 2-3 HR, Brian Holberton(2010) 2-4, and Joe Hager(2010) 2-4. MP hosts Ardrey Kell tonight in a SW4A showdown of unbeatens.

    MP: 010 130 4 -- 9-13-2
    I: 000 100 2 -- 3-10-3

Good game. Closer than the final score. 2-1 to the fifth.

If Holberton does not pick off two Indy runners (one at second, one at first) in the early innings Indy would have been leading as both pick offs were followed by base hits.

Freshman Gabe Hutchings (5I, 7H, 4ER, 4Ks) did a nice job handling the potent Mustang line-up in his first varsity start before tiring in the fifth and was 2-3 at the plate.

Dino Psuritous had another three hit game for Indy.

Even after the Greenies had a big seventh inning to take a 9-1 lead, the young Patriots did not just go away, rallying for two after two outs and had the bases loaded when a check swing roller ended the game.

    EM vs SM

Tough game for the Eagles yesterday. East played without the Daniels brothers and their pitchers seemed to be on fumes. They still almost held on, but South came ready to play and took advantage of every opportunity they had. We'll see if the Eagles bounce back tonight against Butler.

Grandfather passed away. Funeral is today, so they may not make today's game either.

Probably be by committee as far as pitching

The Daniels will be back tonight. The funeral was today and most of the boys attended. They're a really close group of guys. A lot of the underclassmen have been together since they were 8 years old. Not sure on the pitching. I think Little tonight (along with committee) and then Trosch Thursday.
