    Grimsley 1

    WP: Jody Calloway

East scored 6 runs in the first inning and Grimsley made 4 errors during the game to help East out.....might be a closer match up at the end of the year when these two play again

    EF: 5-6 (3-2)
    G: ?-? (3-2)

Not completely sure on standings in the 4A Metro but I know North Forsyth is undefeated and East Forsyth, Grimsley, and Northwest Guilford are all tied for 2nd at 3-2

Great game in Shelby tonight. Shelby scores 1 in the first inning on back to back hits by Seth Canipe and Garrett Alexander, which would be their last hits of the game. But it almost held up. 1-0 Shelby until the 6th, when ER picked up 1 off of Shelby starter Brett Wease, who pitched well. Tied 1-1 in the top of the 7th, Zeke Blantons 1-out single scored Brett Walker and Tyler Smith set Shelby down 1 more time in the 7th to close out a two-hitter and give the Cavs a 2-game conf. lead

Myers Park 3 Central Cabarrus 0

Myers Park is hosting the Jack Sink Tournament (wood bat) this week. In the fourth game of the day, the fans were treated to a well played game that was highlighted by junior Tom Girdwood pitching a complete game 7 inning no hitter. Central Cabarrus did score 1 run scored against him in the 1st inning due to a hit batter (first batter of the game!), stolen base, wild pitch, and RBI ground out to the SS. That was it. Girdwood was lights out tonight!
