Charlotte Country Day won by the score of 5-4. The winning pitcher was Drew Loepprich, and the losing pitcher was Zach Featherstone. Patrick Langdon picked up the save. The leading hitters for Charlotte Country Day were: Tyler Holloway, 1 for 4 with 2 RBIs; Patrick Langdon, 1 RBI; and Patrick Brady, 1 for 2. The leading hitters for Providence Day were Tim Mansfield, 2 for 4 with 3 RBIs, and Daniel Stack, 2 for 4. Loepprich is now 4-0 on the season. CCDS's record is now 4-2 on the season.

South Meck 1 Butler 0

Munch Smith knocked in Andrew Mauldin in the bottom of the 7th for the walk off win.

Mauldin was the WP. He had a bunch of strike outs.

SM left 146 men on base (not a typo) including having the bases loaded and one out in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd innings.

Butler has some established guys like Gehringer, Larson and Eisenbath and some good young talent.

Mauldin was shoving in the high 80s.

Each team had five hits.

 

AK 14 Rocky River 0

I don't like games like this, no one does. I will not post a box score or any specific details, but I will add an editorial comment.

While the men of Rocky River did not have their best game tonight, they never gave up, they never hung their heads, they never showed disrespect or apathy. The coach was dignified and respected the pitchers as he rotated a group of several "gamers" to the mound.

The same should be said for the men of AK. These gentlemen never showed up or disrespected their competitors. There was tremendous sportsmanship and respect for the game.

Both teams played with honor, both teams shook hands after the game and both teams went up a notch on the character ladder tonight.
