    Forbush 8 - Hibriten 4

With this win the run for 1st place in the MVAC is up for grabs. The top runners have each lost 1 game, it's a new beginning!

    Wilkes Central 10 Starmount 7

Wilkes Central wins in 9 innings! Great game as Central led 6 to 3 going into the bottom of the 6th when Starmount scored 4, Ryan Ashley(Methodist) came in with a runner on 3rd no outs and struck out the side! Jake Johnson pitched the 7th and 8th to get the win. Adam Sturgill pitched the 9th for the save! Way to go guys!

    WHS-Conley the rematch

Pioneers squandor 4-2 lead and fall in the rematch 5-4, but bang out 8 hits and 4 runs against the Conley kid who has signed with App. (Edens, I think)

"WOW!!!! That's my man Presnell. He's a gamer!!!!" --Braves

Braves, you are correct. Hopefully someone is brave enough to ignore his size and give him a shot at the next level.

    Forbush 7 - Ashe County 1

Sophomore pitcher, Corey Norman in the bottom of the 7th, was one pitch away from a no-hitter. Big defensive plays by his team mates helped the cause...

Wrap up of the Crystal Coast Easter Tournament:

    3rd place game:
    New Bern 9, Havelock 0

    Championship Game:
    Pinecrest 4, West Carteret 3

Conference play in the Big East starts this coming week. Some big games will start happening out east as the Conley-New Bern-JH Rose threesome starts tangling. Both Conley and New Bern have losses this week.
