    Butler 16 Rocky River 0

Butler uses the long ball at Rocky River. Tommy Hibbard hits 2 homers.
Aj Larson and Chase Gehringer add a 3-run blast each. I believe Chase had a 4 hit night as well. Mitchell Rawlings picks up his first win on the mound. Butler travels to East Meck on Tuesday.

His 4RBIs were matched by Patrick Langdon who got the Bucs on the board in the first inning with a bases-clearing double that almost got out of the park. lake Norman 2 Mallard Creek 0

I-Meck GAME OF THE WEEK tonight!! Wow what a game for 2 very solid teams fighting for 1st place. The game certainly lived up to the billing. A very large crowd watched a game that at any time could have gone either teams way. Both teams were able to shut down scoring threats with great pitching and solid fielding. Lake Norman scored a run in the 1st and 3rd innings for the only runs of the game. Lake Norman pitchers Jon Stires got the win with 5 innings, Alex Cagide relieved in the 6th and one out in the 7th when Taylor Thurber closed out the 7th for the shutout.

Wow...I bet that game was intense. Any time you can shutout Mallard Creek you've got to tip your hat to the pitchers and fielders.
