    The Leggett kid at Rocky Mount has been throwing well as of late. When he realizes his full potential he has a great chance to play at the next level.

    Heels0710 son hit what has to be one of the longest homerun balls I've ever seen in High School tonight. I don't know if it was his farthest ever but it was by far the farthest one I've seen him hit. People might talk about West Forsyth and a short porch but when a ball literally clears the light pole, there is no doubt it was hit hard!!!

    Person scored 10 in the 1st and 7 in the second before empting the bench. Craig Reid was 3-3 (2 3B), Jeremy Peed (3-3, 5 RBI), Trey Davis 2-2, Ricky Crabtree 2-2, Elliott Tolley 2-2 to lead the Rockets. Chris Morgan (JR LHP) earned the win with a perfect game through 4. He ended up allowing an unearned run on 1 hit 11 K's and 0 BB.

    The Rockets are 7-4 overall and 4-2 in the PAC-6. We play powerful South Granville at 4:00 in the Hilltopper Tournament at Orange HS in the 3rd meeting between these teams. If the previous 2 games are an indication, it shapes up to be a dandy.

    Coach May, I just hope we are up to the task!! Iam looking forward to catching up on the season... See ya there!!
