Trevor Mullins pitches a great complete game. 2 hits, 12 Ks, 1 ER and is 7-0 on the season now. Ragsdale goes to 13-1 on the season, 5-1 in conference.

I'll post some more stats and a re-cap later

    Piedmont 9 A.L. Brown 3

Lyerly with the complete game win. I think everybody in the Piedmont lineup plus a couple of pinch hitters had at least one hit.

Charlotte Christian vs. Greater Gwinnett (GA)

    Charlotte Christian 7
    vs.
    Greater Gwinnett 4

Christian came back from a 3-1 deficit in the 6 inning, where they put up 6 runs, all with 2 outs to beat a determined gwinnett team. christian had been struggling on night vs. a good RHP and finally broke through in the 6th. Bryant Gaines hit a 2 out, 2 rbi double to tie the game and then charles bradley hit a bases clearing, 3 rbi, double to put the knights up 7-3. Gwinnett scored 1 run in the 7th but once again the knights played solid defense and got the big hits from different guys.

christian plays at piedmont friday next travels to raleigh on sat. to face cardinal gibbons.

    NW Cabarrus - 13 North Iredell - 0 (5 innings)

Northwest Cabarrus (10-3) gets a no-hitter from Robby Gurley in this one (9Ks) almost exactly a year after Blake Ketner threw a 5-inning no-hitter against Statesville last season (16-0, April 05 2005).

Jerrod Faggart hit a towering 3-run blast in the 5th to break the game open.

    Butler 6-1 over Providence
Matt Bjorkstrom pitched a gem and also hit a long home run
Derek Blanton was 2-4 with a rbi and run scored
Drew Gerhinger hit a 2b with a RBI
Matt Crump had a 2b with a RBI
