Robby Bray for Independence versus Jordan Cudney for Myers Park. Good pitching matchup. Bray started strong using his power curve ball. Cudney finished just as strong by striking out 4 batters in the last 2 innings with mainly fastballs. The game ended when Myers Park loaded the bases and came within an eyelash of tieing the game but the Independence 3B made a diving stop to keep the ball in the infield. That made it 3 - 2. Then with 2 outs and the bases still loaded, Bray struck out the last batter to end the game.

    Fred T Foard 13 Maiden 5

Foard woke up late to bust open a close one. Ben Lilly picked up the win in relief going 4 1/3 innings while giving up one run. The Tiger's 12 hit attack was led by Lilly (3-5 HR, 2B), Brian Dice (2-4 HR, 2B), JT Wharton (2-3), and Mitch Granger (2-3).

Foard (11-2, 8-1) next travels to Statesville on Friday for a non conference game.
