    I got to pinch hit yesterday and do the PA for these games, actually So1 made me do it......with all due respect to the 4A Riverside Pirates but to me they did not show up to play OR the 3A Gryphons are primed and ready to defend their state title. Great crowd for this doubleheader including celebrities Karlrocket and Michael Nyfong and a few pro scouts.

    Not Impressed Either!

    Stretchy, I'm glad you said it before me. As is human nature, I immediately compared Durham Riverside to the best 4A program in the East (Greenville Rose). Greenville Rose would easily win a match-up between these 2 teams. The pitching for Riverside doesn't measure up to the Rampants. I've seen many Eastern teams this year that looked stronger than Riverside. I was expecting a much better team to show up from Durham.

    From Friday night:

    DH Conley - 8
    Southern Wayne - 0

    WP - Jordan Deloatch
    LP - ?

    Conley had a good performance at the plate helped with a couple of errors from So. Wayne. Deloatch went 4 innings, 1 hit, 9 K's, before having to leave after fouling a ball off of his foot in the bottom of the 4th.

    Conley is at the IMPACT Easter Tournament today and tomorrow.

    10:45 am - vs. West Johnston
    3:45 - vs. SW Guilford
