    AK 3 Butler 2 11 innings

Just as I hoped and predicted, this one was a classic SW4A game between Butler and Ardrey Kell. Just like Mincmi pointed out, this was the third 10 inning game or longer in their last four meetings between these two rivals who love to battle each other. Chris McCue and Dalton Eisenbath went deep into the game (McCue 7 full / Eisenbath 9 full on 98 pitches) to the delight of the fans on hand. Ak did what AK does hitting shots all over the diamond with Butlers defense holding firm in every position. Brad Stone was strong in 4 innings of relief keeping the Butler offense down. Butler had their chances, but were unable to plate another run. Almost 3 hours after the start, it was over with AK scoring on a 1 out bases loaded dribbler to third off reliever Matt Baltimore to win it. Kudos to both teams and coaches for a fine effort. I'm sure we where all mentally exhausted but glad to have witnessed this gem last night.
