Week #7 Games

I was asking about Gilmore since he is the son of Coastal Carolina Head Coach Gary Gilmore, attends Socastee and will be headed off for the University of Virginia next season.

Played with him a few years back. Great talent.

Needless to say, Socastee probably has access to some pretty good coaching help.

 

The team that I now coach in W.V. just left the Myrtle Beach area from a week long string of games. We were able to watch Socastee play Georgetown and I can verify that they can definelty hit (11-1) in the game that we watched. We were hoping to play them, but they had a full schedule. Next year possibly they will play with us in the Hawaiin Tropic Tourney. They have a pitcher (not sure if it is the kid you guys are talking about) that can hit the low 90's. They are coached by a super guy who treated us and the other teams that were in out round robin semi-tourney with class and respect. Good facility with an infield that reminds you of a fairway on the nicer golf courses in that area.
