    Charlotte Country Day...12 Providence Day...1

    CCDS....410 104 2.....12..13..1
    P. Day...100 000 0......1...5...3

The Charlotte Country Day bats got hot early as they posted 4 runs in the top of the first inning, providing a nice cushion as they took the field. Andrew Pope homered to center in the bottom of the first, but the Chargers would get no closer as William Frazier stymied them through five innings, stranding their only runner past second with back-to-back strikeouts to finish the fourth inning. Hitting stars for Country Day included Justin Ide, who homered and singled in addition to two free passes. Tate Bloomer was a force, going 3-4 with 3 stolen bases. Chad Walton tripled and pinch hitters Alex Perullo and Sam Poole both doubled in their only plate appearances. The Bucs played outstanding defense and turned a nice double play to get out of a bases-loaded jam in the 6th inning. Truett Langdon again displayed superior defensive tools, both at third base and first base.
