    Weddington - Anson

    Good game.

    Bostic with two strong HRs

Calabretta almost hits for the cycle - single, double, and triple with strong baserunning.

    Borrelli solid 6 innings

    Good defensive game.

    CPC Update

Mount Tabor beats Reynolds 9-2, Davie beats North Davidson 7-1 and West Forsyth beats Reagan 6-1.

Davie got great pitching from Corey Randall and Will Beeson and home runs from Randall, Vernon and Garczynski.

West Forsyth's Eric Sonafrank pitched another terrific game going 6 1/3 while giving up one run on 6 hits. Chad Felton and Jacob Campbell homered for West. Spencer Holcomb playing in his second game after getting hit in the face by a pitched ball went 3/3 and had Reagan's lone RBI.

    AK 5 Butler 3

For the second time this season Butler can not hold an early lead and loses to
AK 5-3 in a tight game at Butler. Brad Stone and Malachi Hanes started. Hanes was ahead 2-0 early due to AJ Larsons 2 run homer in the first. Stone then settled in and only gave up Jordan Huntley's rbi single in the 4th. A sac fly here, a few walks, Butler errors and a fielders choice and it was tied at 3 in the 6th. Butler had 2 crutial pick off errors result in 2 bases each putting AK in scoring positions. Baltimore relieved Hanes with runners on base in the 6th. AK scored on a bases loaded walk and later on a Norman single to go ahead 5-3, the eventual final score. Justin French closed and got the save striking out the final two batters with 2 runners on base. Butler travels to PVD on Tuesday.

    Another barn-burner in the Tri-9

GH falls to FV in extra innings 5-3. All FV runs were earned, four of which were due to home runs (3 total). GH led throughout the game although it was close (3-2) after the 2nd. However, in the bottom of the 7th, FV was able to push a run across with 2 outs to send it to the extra frame. In the 8th, FV won with a walk-off HR. In general, a well-played game with critical defensive plays by both teams to keep runs off the board. GH is now 9-3 in the Tri-9, one game behind MC, and FV is 9-4, 1 1/2 games behind MC. Obviously, Tuesday's game between GH and MC has big ramifications in the Tri-9.

    Catholic-West Meck

Catholic rallied from down 2-0 in the 6th to win the Annual Strike Out Cancer Game at West Meck. Huge crowd got to see a very entertaining game. Jacob Bonen-Clark pitched 6 solid innings for the Cougars as they remain in a tie for first with Olympic in the MEGA 7.
