AL Brown 3, Northwest Cabarrus 1
    WP- Garrett Sherrill
    LP- Blake Ketner

    HR- Kevin Pittmon (K)

After winning the Cabarrus County Easter Tournament last week, AL Brown is playing up to expectations, getting excellent pitching and timely hitting. Brown has now won 10 of their past 12 games and holding down 2nd place in the NPC behind West Rowan.

Sun Valley got to Tyson early. They scored 5 runs in the top of the 1st. Even though Sun Valley hit the ball hard in the 1st, only one run was earned. The run scored in the 5th was also unearned.

Blaylock really pitched a great game. He was dominate early except for a two run double by Hermann. In the last three innings he tired but the outs he needed to get, he got. He had bases loaded in the fifth with one out and men on second and third and one out in the seventh and no runs scored.

This game makes the SPC a 3 team race. Weddington with 1 loss, Robinson with 2 and SV with 3. Sun Valley plays Robinson Friday which will probably determine second place. Sun Valley beat Robinson earlier in the year.

Piedmont is (8-8-1) and (4-4) in the SPC.
