I heard the Athens Drive center fielder should get the most props in this game -- sounds like he did a great job, robbing potential hits again and again.

This was a great pitching performance by Micheal Velten and Zach Brown. Both went 7 innings Velten had a no hitter going into the 6th and finished with a 2 hit performance. Tabor improves to 4-3 in the conference and will play West Forsyth at home tomorrow.

South Meck 1 vs Butler 2

    South Meck - 1
    Butler - 2

    WP - Matt Bjorkstrom
    LP - Ryan Morris

Great pitching performance by both Morris and Bjorkstrom with both guys going all the way:

    Morris
    2 runs (1 earned)
    3 hits
    11K's
    1 walk

    Bjorkstrom
    1 run
    5 hits
    8 K's
    2 walks (I think)

South had runners in scoring position virtually ever inning and could not capitalize....Butler played a very good ball game!

That's been their achilles heel all year. They need to improve in this area if they are wanting to go deep into the playoffs.

In HS ball, I wish they kept the BA with RISP vs the BA. In high school, BA= BCrap...RISP = a gamer!!!
