    `Kerr Vance lefthander John Allen no hit Faith Christian Tuesday night in Metropolitan Henderson. A Webb-KVA matchup would be interesting. Just don't schedule on poker night.:mdrbig:

    Lee County got its first win of the year over Cary on Tuesday night in Sanford.

    Lee Co. - 5
    Cary - 3

    WP - Kelly
    LP - Pilecki
    S - Furl

    HR - Sanchez (Freshman, Cary)

    Each team made 3 errors. Cary dropped two fly balls in the bottom of the 1st on which Lee County scored 3 of its 5 runs. The HR by Sanchez made it a 4-3 game, and Lee eventually added one insurance run in the bottom of the 6th. Sanchez of Cary left the bases loaded twice (including Top of the 7th). Tough situation for a freshman to be in even after he homered, and even though he did not find success, it will pay off down the road.

    Cary falls to 5-10 and 2-5. The IMPS host rival Athens Drive on Friday night at the USA National Training Complex on the stadium field. Athens enters at 8-8 and 3-5.

    Taylor Lewis pitched for Southern Nash Tuesday night. His defense did a good job behind him. Taylor can also hit the ball! Two good shots.
