Kannapolis wins at Statesville 12-8 on Monday night.

Kannapolis loses to West Rowan 13-12 in 8 innings in what was a real heart breaker for K-Town.

    Trivia question.
Player tonight cant get around on a fastballs with 2 out and 2 on . the batter is down 0-2 or 1-2 .. what do you throw ?

Well i know what most pitching coaches would call , but at Kannapolis they call a curve and the batter hits it to right field , yes thats the 300' right field . Go Figure...

Congrats to the WR bunch , i think that ties you with NWC now since they lost.
I'll leave the game details to RCBBFAN

    Mt. Pleasant - 7
    North Stanly - 6

    WP - Jones

    HR - White

Mount pulls out a close one in extra innings. A pretty good game, but Mount just had too many bats when the game was on the line. They are now atop the Rocky River Conference (7-1) (5-1)

    Mustangs vs Central Cabarrus

This was a very good ball game if you enjoy good pitching and defense. Woodall went the distance for the Mustangs, only giving up two hits and one run on a throwing error to home from third. John Killian coming off of elbow surgery from last year threw his first game of the season for Central Cabarrus. I don't recall the Mustang's getting any hits but the Vinkings got out of many jams caused by walks. Both pitchers did a good job and it was a shame that either one had to take the loss, but that baseball! Great Game and win for Central Cabarrus no wonder they are leading the MECCA 8.

Mooresville wins the Peoples Bank baseball tournament in Lincolnton. Tim Sullivan goes six innings for the win. Lefty Matt Marshall started for Lake Norman took the loss (he left the game with arm problems in the 4th)

    West Rowan-13 over Kannapolis-12 (8 innings)

rcbbfan, I was going to give you the "honor" of making the first comments about last nights West/Kann game (because you won). But I like what you did by just posting the stats. There was a "LOT" of numbers posted last night by a lot of different players (unfortunately for pitchers). I'll give West credit for getting the clutch hits when they needed them, although it was a heartbreaking loss for Kann. However considering the fact that West Rowan is one of the best teams around in any classification, the Kann boys should come out of this game with much confidence for the remainder of their season.

I also agree with Intimidator Coach in his comment that the Kann pitchers (on maybe 4 different occasions) were ahead 0-2 on the W.R. batters with 2 outs, and then they simply threw pitches that were TOO good. However (with that said) I also give the W.R. boys credit for getting those key hits, because they still had to swing the bats and make the plays, AND THEY DID.

Actually it was a great game to watch for a fan. You could tell there was a lot of emotion involved, and there was 2 good teams throwing their best pitchers and hitting the ball well too.
Both coaches got a "little" hot with different calls, which only made the game more exciting for a fan and "juiced up" the players. The umpires caught hell from both sides on this night, but fortunately I don't think any calls decided this game. Overall, it was just a great game and hopefully our boys (Kann) can keep winning our other games to get that final playoff spot. Congrats to West on the win...
