Rivals Prov. Day and Christian Slug it out at Prov. Day

Charlotte Christian 21; Providence Day 17

    WP: Who knows
    LP: I have no idea

Christian scored a touchdown with 30 seconds left in the 4th quarter to pull it out.

    Now for the summary:
This was the wildest game I've ever seen. After PD went up 5-0 in the 1st, christian battled back and took the lead 6-5 in the 2nd. From there christian rolled and went up 9 runs to take a 17-8 advantage going into the bottom of the 7th. With all the backups in PD came back to tie it scoring 9 runs in the bottom of the 7th. I give PD alot of credit for battling back like that, it was very intense to watch. In the top of the 8th christian continued to stroke the bacll scoring 4 runs by a rbi single by M. Fulginiti and a 3run hr by T. Kirpatrick to put the chargers away. Zahodski for PD had about 7 rbis and hit 2 hrs, one which was a grand slam. There were alot of other guys for PD who had great days at the plate but i can't remember all the hits. For christian: C. Bradley went 3-5 2HR, 7 rbi's; M. Gantner went 3-3, HR; D. Hill went 2-5 HR; K. Fulginiti went 2-2 3B; T. Kirkpatrick went 2-4 HR; M. Fulginiti went 3-4.
Both teams about about 35 hits combined. Pitching was not a factor is this game obviously. I give alot of credit to PD for battling like they did and never giving up. PD can sure hit the ball and are very good.

The series will continue Wed., 7pm at christian

Caleb Cuevas 2/3 with a double, HR, and 4 rbi's
    Casey Allison 2/2 with a double and 2 rbi's

    Mooresville........004 300 0 --- 7R 7H 2E 8LOB

This time NWC brings their whoopin sticks as both starters get chased early. Mooresville closed the gap in the middle innings but could not contain the Trojan onslaught.

No the Indy versus Vance makeup happened tonight with Indy winning big. Indy definately is finding their bats but still not by everyone at one time. That could be dangerous. Can't wait til next tuesday when Indy and North battle for 1st place in the conference.

    W.Meck over W.Charlotte

I wasn't able to attend, but I talked to Seth and he told me they won big.

WP-Stephen Mullis or Justin Gray, if it's Justin Gray that makes him 3-0 on the mound this saeson (keep in mind that he had no clue he was going to pitch this year)
    LP-Not sure

Homeruns by Daniel Jones, Troy Lanham (2 on the year), and Brandon Reeves helped the Indians out tonight.

    Anson 4 Piedmont 2

Piedmont (12-2) (7-1) lost their first conference game at Anson. Piedmont just could never get anything going. Rob Lyerly took his first loss of the season giving up 3 earned runs in 6 innings.

Piedmont has a huge game @ Sun Valley today. If S/V won yesterday then they are tied with Piedmont for the tob spot.
