    Piedmont 14 Parkwood 2 (5 innings)

    The bats finally came back tonight. Taylor Clontz was 2-2 with a 2 run 1B and a 3 run 2B. Dallas Tarelton was 2-3 with a 2 run HR and a 3 run 2B.

    Bryan Parker pitched a complete game and gave up no earned runs.

    Piedmont (14-3) (9-1) can win the conference championship with a victory against Concord on Tuesday.

    Kannapolis 3, West Rowan 0

    West Rowan still leads the NPC @ 9-2. Kannapolis, NW Cabarrus, and East Rowan are all tied @ 7-3 for second place.

    The NPC gets 3 spots in the NCHSAA playoffs. It looks like it's going down to the wire.

    South Granville 16 09 00

    South Granville defeated Southern Vance Friday night at South Granville 16-01. Soph Jonathan Lynch 1-1 went the distance (5 innings) due to the 10 run rule. Lynch gave up 1 run four hits and struck out 6. The Vikings starting line up had 9 hits by 8 different players on the night. Chris Luck hit his 4th hr of the season a one run shot in the bottom of the first. The Vikings are now 8-0 in the conference and 14-03 overall. Southern Vance drops to 5-2 in the conference overall record we did not get. Ayscue got the start for Southern Vance and was lifted in the fourth inning when the Vikings exploded for 9runs.

    no one wants to play on Saturday(s). Been like this for quite sometime throughout the state and area don t know about elsewhere??? And I betcha THEY aren't even practicing today preppin for Monday!     South Meck was playing Independence today, but Indy decided to make up a conference game instead. I don't know why SM/Butler did not play today...must have had some conflict.

    Independence defeated Harding in 4 1/2 innings. Indy hit throughout the line-up and Shayne Miller had a home run.
