    Crest 64 East Gaston 40

Crest get's a big win over Big South foe the East Gaston Warriors. Crest can't afford another con. lose as they continue to chase Ashbrook in the con. standings. Crest was in the best shape they have been in a while player wise. Crest was only able to suit 7 players in the Freedom game and where missing 3 starters. CJ Wright returned for the Chargers as well as Brandon Spikes seeing his first action of the season. Crest is still without Dion Malchai who is still out with an injured elbow. This game saw Crest play with the same defensive intensity that led them to the 3A state title game last year. There seemed to be about a 5 minute stretch in the 3rd qtr that East Gaston couldn't get the ball across half court. Brandon Spikes looked in great shape for his first game, including leading the fastbreak on a few occasions for the Chargers. Crest was led in scoring by Rayshawn Roseboro. the 6-6 JR tossed in 17. He could of had a lot more, but freethrows continue to haunt Rayshawn. Spikes had 11, Bruce Smith 9, Jared Maddox and CJ Wright with 8, Jordan Robinson with 5, Dwayne Maddox with 3, and Anthony Neal with 2. Every player that played for Crest, but one, scored.

East Gaston was led by Ivory Craig with 12 and Demitric Sanders with 7. East Gaston moves to 10-5 overall and 2-3 in Big South play. Crest is now 10-5 on the year and 3-2 in the Big South. Crest plays at South Point Wed. night before going to Ashbrook Friday.

Reynolds started this game on fire and built a 20+ point lead in the first quarter. SC battled back and got within 4 in the second half but never could get over the top. Reynolds has a lot of weapons, height speed and can knock down the threes.
