Cuthbertson HS over Marvin Ridge 6 - 3

Peter Hendel was the winning pitcher for Cuthbertson going all the way into the 7th when they brought in Cameron Tekker to help get the last 3 outs. Peter did a tremendous job in shutting down some very talented MR players at the plate.
All of Cuthbertson's runs came in the 2nd where, once again, the Hendels (Peter and Andrew) both came up 2 RBI's a piece. Everybody for Cuthbertson contributed in this game in one way or another at just the right time. Both teams played well defensively, which makes for an even better game.
It was nice to see the boys talk after the game. No jawing, just talking. These boys could have been playing together if not for all the new schools. This could turn out to be a very good rivalry with 2 very good teams.
Cuthbertson finishes the regular season 18 - 3, overall.

They showed up and we didn't. Hope it was a wake up call before we get to the playoffs.

Next game vs. Hillside; Tuesday @ Riverside

Hickory Ridge wins on Senior Night against J.M. Robinson 3 to 2 in 11. Zach Andrews threw 10 strong innings for Hickory Ridge and Travis Baucom pitched the 11th for the win. The pitcher for Robinson threw 9 strong innings. Don't know his name, but he has a mean curveball.
