I don't know anything first or even second hand but have heard it was some weed found in his car in the school parking lot by police dog. I have heard it was a lot and I have heard it was a little. Either way, it was a mistake.

:satana: Kids, players young men and women, its so much harder, longer and painful to deal with a mess than get into it. It only takes a thoughtless or impulsive minute or two and then you'll have to spend months and months digging yer way out. But a least nobody got killed here. Carl Kakedelis had a beer or two (underage) got in a jeep. Two minutes later the jeep rols and two days later his best friend in the wolrd is dead. How long will it take carl to work outta that mess? Take the Duke lacrosse mess. What's somebody's daughter running around naked doing, what are the guys doin underaged drinkin, what are the young guys doin with a stripper? If just one of those decisions had been thoughtful, just one, none of whats going on wooda happened.

It actually pays to slow down and be thoughtful. I hope TK gets a chance and is able to recover and use the talents the good Lord give em. But it won't be easy.

This may have been a costly win for TCR, as senior 2B/RHP Mitch Hefner left the game with a knee injury. Mitch is a four year starter for the Rams and a two time all-conference player. We wish him the best and a speedy recovery.

    Piedmont 3 Concord 1

A great game on both ends. Chad Dempsey pitched well throwing a 3 hitter and Concord had 6 hits including 4 by leadoff man Hunter Wyke. Dustin Belk threw for Piedmont and good defense helped him out of trouble the only times he was in it. Brandon Santiago drew a leadoff walk for the Panthers and after Rob Lyerly popped out Jared Mode hit a two strike curve to the gap in right-center for a standup triple and a rbi. Mode then scored on a SAC fly from Daniel Sedberry. Landon Ring singled hard off the pitchers leg and by the second baseman with a runner on second for Piedmonts other run. Montana Brigman had the only other Panther hit. The win clinched at least a tie for the conference crown for Piedmont. A win in either game next week will clinch the championship outright for the Panthers.

    NORTH HENDERSON-11 PISGAH-0

Kenneth Brandt pitched a 1-hit shutout, I think only one ball left the infield with Brandt getting alot of K's. Mathew McMurray and Seth Baldwin both Homered for North.
