Max had a busted thumb last Fall during Showcase Season and only got a limited amount of PT during the early part. He still attended the games, if only to coach bases for his team mates. He apparently was a great team mate.

Obviously, he has healed with no harm and I have no doubt somebody will be in need of a solid catcher... there is always a need for a catcher!

    South Granville at Southern Alamance

    Southern Alamance 13
    South Granville 3
    (6 innings)

Eddie Sappelt had 4 hits and a walk for Southern. Kellen Rankin and Brandon Crawford had 3 hits for Southern. Matt Murphy moves to 3-0 in the conference.

Southern has clinched at least a share of the conference title. The Patriots need a win either vs. Webb or Williams to have the conference outright.

Southern is now 16-4 and 8-0.
    SG is 14-6 and 5-4.
