What are the requirements for a team to be included in the weekly polls. Who votes? How do they vote? What is the role of the coach to get a team in the rankings?
It seems there are some very good teams being left out and some teams receiving honorable mention that are quite suprising.

    Polls are a Joke!

Stevie Wonder must be doing the voting because there is no way Enka is the number 4 ranked 3A team in the state. At one time they might of been deserving but those days are over. It took them 8 innings to beat Tuscola and we are terrible! I just watched an 8 inning game to decide who sucked the worst. These polls are a joke! Enka is number 4 and Franklin is not even ranked, you gotta be kidding me.

    Polls

The polls are voted on each week by coaches throughout the State. There is a polls committee who tallies the votes and recommendations from those coaches and produce the poll each week. It is not perfect and it is not going to be. I do take exception to the fact that someone has a problem with one or two teams out the 45 or so that received votes being ranked. So the coaches and committee don't have it just the way you like it, sorry! By the way, Stevie Wonder is not a member of the NCSCA and cannot vote in the polls.

Well check and see if Ronnie Millsaps voted. Think about it, how can you take a poll seriously where the people doing the voting have obviously never seen some of the teams that they are voting for play. I by no means claim to be a softball guru but there is no way Enka is number 4 and Franklin and TC Roberson (and I'm sure others that I can't comment on because I haven't seen them play) are not even on the list.

    Poll Question

Thanks Pop for your reply. I spoke with Stevie and he is thinking about joining soon. People are funny if it doesn't go your way it must be wrong. Maybe we can show up at their job and tell them what they are doing wrong. They just made me an expert! 300 plus wins in softball must not be quite enough. Have a Great Break!

I'm not taking anything away from some of the Enka players, some I know personally and know they are very good, I'm just saying that the team is not the number 4 3A team in the state. They're just not and it is not even close.

If 300 plus wins in softball makes you an expert then I guess my husband must be one too and he agrees with me.

    Have at it!

Why don't you and he produce a poll! If he has 300 wins at the high school level, I would think he would probably be a member of the NCSCA and he can vote for whoever the heck he wants to be in front of Enka.
