I am proud to announce and recognize 2 former NC Division I players as assistant coaches at William Peace University for the coming 2015 season...

Bethaney Wells enters her second year with the Pacers where she will primarily serve as a hitting and outfield coach. A 2013 graduate from North Carolina State University playing under the direction both Lisa Navas and Shawn Rychcik, Wells was a leftfielder and a designated hitter from 2009-2013, including a redshirt year from 2009-2010 after a knee injury.

In the NC State record books, Wells currently ranks 3rd all-time for career home runs (30), 5th all-time for career RBIs (97), and 7th all-time for slugging percentage (.484). As a senior, Wells was an integral part of the Wolfpack’s record setting 2013 season where they were crowned ACC champions. They were selected to the Knoxville, TN regional of the NCAA Tournament where they won two games and had a chance to advance to the super regionals before falling to the University of Tennessee, eventual college World Series runners-up,

Two years removed from the outstanding year at NC State, Wells plans to take her knowledge and experiences from the game and carry it over to a successful season at William Peace University.

Wells graduated from NC State with a BS in Nutrition Science and multiple All-American Scholar Athlete awards.

Wells is from Harrisburg, NC and graduated from Central Cabarrus High School in 2008 where she played for coach Monte Sherrill and won a 2005 NCHSAA State Championship while also being an All-State selection and Academic All-American.

Heather Robb enters her first year with the Pacers where she will primarily serve as a hitting and infield coach. A 2013 graduate from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro under the direction Janelle Breneman and Jennifer Herzig, Robb was a middle infielder from 2009-2013.

Robb named second team All-Southern Conference at shortstop during her senior year ... hit a career-best .311 in 55 starts ... had 11 multi-hit games and 10 multi-RBI contests ... finished with 31 runs scored, 11 doubles, 47 hits, two triples, five home runs and 34 RBI ... also had seven stolen bases.

Four-year letterwinner for coach Robbie Wray at Middle Creek High School in Apex, N.C. … earned all-state honors as a junior and senior … member of the National Honor Society … played for the 18U NC Lady Lightning Gold.

Heather Michelle Robb ... born Nov. 20, 1990, in Raleigh, N.C. ... daughter of George and Lois Robb … has an older brother, Eric, who played baseball for The Citadel ... majored in business administration and sport management … vice president of UNCG’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

    LIFE IS GOOD !!!
