Wesleyan College Showcase Tournament

Here are the pairings for the first event of the fall season on September 6/7th.

1) 9 am Sat: Wilson Bulldogs vs Bunn Wildcats

2) 1130 am Sat: West Wake Wildcats vs Carolina Blaze

3) 2 pm Sat: Southside Braves vs Team Tarboro

4) 430 pm Sat: Carolina Lake Monsters vs Virginia Aces

All the above games will be played at the Wesleyan College Field on the campus.


Losing teams will then play in the consolation bracket as follows:

5) L1 vs L2 at 430 pm on Saturday at the New Rocky Mount Sports Complex

6) L3 vs L4 at 730 pm on Saturday at the New Rocky Mount Sports Complex


Winning teams will play in the winners bracket as follows:

7) W3 vs W4 at 9 am on Sunday at Wesleyan College

8) W1 vs W2 at 1130 am on Sunday at Wesleyan College


Sunday consolation bracket continues as follows:

9) L5 vs L6 at 9 am at the Sports Complex for 7th place

10) W5 vs W6 at 1130 am at the Sports Complex for 5th place

11) L7 vs L8 at 3 pm at the Sports Complex for 3rd place


The Tournament Championship game will be played Sunday at Wesleyan College:

12) W7 vs W8 at 3 pm for 1st place

 

Mid 80's next week in Rocky Mount sounds nice, Looks like a chance of showers for the tournament but hopefully it will blow over.

Any info on the other teams in the tournament?

Are you referring to the Carolina Thunder, Edenton Cougars, Duplin County and Triple Crown teams who I am trying to accomodate in this event?

This should be a very good tourney. It will be very interesting to see if anyone can take out the Va Aces in this one. They are the favorite imo going in. I will be at UNCC with the Dirtbags 2011's getting the fall season started as well. Good luck to all the teams.

Folks I hope all of you realize just how much Stretchy has done just over the past couple of years to promote the teams and players in our state. This tourney at Wesleyan is just one more example of his love of the game and desire to create opportunities for players.

 

Didn't really know about the wait listed teams. Will there be another venue or schedule change? Looking forward to watching some more baseball. We are having withdrawal with college practices (4 man) and scrimmages closed to the public.

There will be the addition of Tarboro's Historic Stadium but the schedule will not change as each venue will have it's own champion.
