Hopewell plays at West Meck on tomorrow in which should be a pretty good game. Hopewell who isn't as good as in years past, but still pretty solid and West Meck comes in undefeated and hoping to gauge where they stand against a good team. With the talent West has they should win this game.

    Score?

Any score to report from this game? Did West Meck win and keep their undefeated season going?

Would love to hear any details. Thanks.

    Score

Here is an update for you on this game.

    Hopewell - 5
    W. Meck - 2

    WP - Lindsay Russell
    LP - Samantha Duncan

I believe that this was W. Meck's first loss of the season. Their record is 10 - 1 now. ?

Very well played ballgame. I don't believe either team committed an error, and there was only 1 passed ball. I think there would have been a little more offense for both teams, but plate ump had a pretty large strike zone. Balls up to 1 ft. outside of plate were being called strikes all night long. At least he was consistent. Never been to W. Mecks field before, but the fences are at least 250 ft., thus greatly reducing the opportunity for HR's but increasing the chance for a triple or two. Hopewell had a couple of balls hit that would have easily been homeruns on a 200 or 210 ft. field.

    W. Meck is a talented group. Greatly improved over prior couple of years. I can see why they will easily win the Queen City Conference, and earn a # 1 seed for the playoffs.

I was actually unable to attend the game do to work, but yes this was West Meck's first lost. I did hear that the strike zone was a bit large, but as long as he was consistent thats all you can really ask for. The bats for West Meck were just not on from what i heard. After scoring 2 in the first, they got shut down the rest of the game.
