Did anybody see it? I really thought it was nice to see that and I think it's a good thing for the kids on the WM team.

I know they have a weak schedule and yada yada, but it's nice to see them finally winning some games. It's looking a lot better since I was there.

I saw it and thought it was a nice read. Didn't like that they wrote that WM was traditionally weak in baseball. They should have looked deeper. I played at West in the '70's and we were always a force. I think it was '72 made it to the State Championship (yes, the final game) and again in '77. The '77 game was played at the old Crockett Park. Coach Bolick always had great teams. I know Schrumm was later the Varsity coach but he was JV when I was there.

I also agree and I kind of feel as though it's a minor shot at myself, because I know I put in hard work for the team there when I played. It hasn't been that West had bad ballplayers, it was just that little things would mess games up for us all the time. One small error would be the end of the game for us because that would spark something in the other team.

I was a Freshman the last year that West went to the playoffs, which was in 2000-2001, and they were 15-6 and lost by a run or 2 in the opening round to a Guilford County team. West was once a powerhouse in baseball, talking about the 60's-70's and then in the Chad Tracy years. I also had those thoughts while reading it.

Brandon I've had the pleasure to know the longest and he is a great kid, hopefully he'll get a chance somewhere. A great competitor as well as being a good athlete to boot.

I couldn't agree with you more WMB. Kudo's to the Indians. I hope to see them in the playoffs

Play for the name on the front of the Jersey, not the one on the back.

some teams don't put a name on the back of jersey.

Old habits die hard. They're still the Indians to me too (West Meck grad, 1972).
