Western Highlands Conf.???

    Does anyone have the standings and records for the Western Highlands Conference. I think Polk is 9-1 in conf. and Owen is 10-2. Any info. on Madison, Mtn. Heritage, Mitchell, Avery, or Hendersonville?

    Polk is a contender for the 1A State Championship. Last night's loss to Owen was their 1st Western Highlands conference loss. They are 15-4 overall & lead the 1A side of the conference by at least 1 game, possibly 2. They still have 2 games remaining against Hendersonville (also 1A). Hendersonville is 8-8 overall (7-2 conference) & possibly can take over the top seed by sweeping the 2 games they have this week against Polk. Polk had 6 returning starters back from a very good team in 2008. Two of Polk's losses this year came against cross-state rival Landrum, South Carolina.
