    Define Karma

Look TBR, I know what is meant by the word Karma in this post. We all do. After reading the previous posts, it is apparent that Karma does not mean good things happen if you find a penny face up, or bad things will happen if you step on a crack. Luck is luck, bad or good. we can't control luck anymore than we can control daddy ball.

    Oh Not Always

My DD was a college signed player her senior year and sat the bench most of the season on her HS team! I guess the coach disagreed with the college? I know that is how it usually works! I do agree with you that HS ball should not be just for the players wanting to continue in college!

    Luck has nothing to do...

Luck has nothing to do with, whether a coach is a decent human being or not!
If your theory were correct, then you are saying, that you don't have to be a better player, you just have to be lucky!
You must be one of those people Karma might bite one day!

    karma

here's my take on karma as far as softball is concerned:

if you're a good coach or asst coach, you treat your girls right, you keep your promises, you train them to the best of your ability, you get rewarded by seeing them improve and you get rewarded by them constantly keeping in touch with you after they age out - I went to the mighty casey and saw four former players who were coaching/teaching and everyone of them came up and hugged and thanked me for what they had learned - i was rewarded by seeing them pass on what i had given them as far as training and love of the game.

bad karma is the other end of the stick, being avoided by former players and i hope i will never have to experience this.
