What age

Thanks Braves, can't believe I got one right. 2 years ago when I came here I though I knew something about baseball. Now I know better.

As to our team, I won't call us elite. I mean, what is elite at 14U? As to performance, they were second nationally in Triple Crown nationals at 13. This year they won USSSA 14U nationals and were Tripple Crown state champs. All that and .50 might get you a cup of coffee. My opinion is they over-achieve. They are well coached and do all the little things. They don't over power anyone, they just win. But frankly winning is not the end all. Focus is on development.

They practice at HPU. Practice is run exclusively by HPU coach. Kids love the coach. They respond much better to non-parent coaching. Team is a great group of kids. Team will be having tryouts all fall for a team to begin play after HS ball ends next May. Very limited fall schedule. Mostly just practice and development in preparation for next summer. School sports take priority.

 

The Canes will have two 2013 teams (North and South)
