I've always said there is something pretty special about a baseball player. My son has always been lucky to be on teams where the players respect the game, their coaches, their teammates, and the field. Just a fine bunch of boys. This isn't football where a stadium gets filled up every Friday night. It's nights in the cold where you only have your parents watching the game like they've done for so many years before. These tend the boys that work harder than most when nobody's watching. It's a special breed that can do all of this without all the accolades. They do it because they love it and it shows year around.

Great job...incredible.

Hard to believe mine is in his senior year is already.....that went by so fast.

 

Usually I wait until the weekend before practice begins to bump this, but I missed it last year, plus I have been thinking about the Hot Stove Dinner coming on Saturday and all the work that not only those honored athletes put in but so many others too that will never be mentioned, yet their efforts are still noteworthy.

Best of luck this season to all as so many are getting excited for the new season to begin afresh.
