Las Vegas (national champs) won 75 games this season.

wonder what is the national record for legion wins in one season.

57 is the most I could find, and ironically 57 was posted just last year from the Colombia,Tennessee team, they went 57-11.

75 is awesome at this level.

Those 80 games are just what was played since the Legion season started in late may. I counted 112 games played since March on their website.

Out of pure boredom and the fact that I can't wait for next summer, I found their baseball website and looked at their schedule b/c I was shocked at their record (75-7).

    This is what I found:

    Nevada Youth Baseball Association
American Legion Baseball 2008 League Records

    May 27 thru July 28

    AAA GoldTeam WL
    Bishop Gorman 22-2; Sierra Vista 20-4; Coronado 18-6; Centennial 15-9; Las Vegas 14-10; Green Valley 13-11; Silverado 10-14; Durango 9-15; Rancho 9-15; Spring Valley 8-16; Basic 7-17; Bonanza 7-17; Arbor View 4-20

Bishop Gorman is the team that won it all in Shelby- if this is their league record, I don't see how they played another 50 or so non-league games. Just thought I would share what I found.

** This is in no way trying to take anything away from their World Series win, I did this mainly out of my curiosity b/c a 30 or so game schedule is about all I can handle in a summer. **

We played 53 this summer in JR Legion ball and I thought there was no way possible to play many more than that. 80 is insane.
