Not everyone that is knowledgable can TEACH

Everyone who is knowledgable on a sport can not TEACH a sport! Just because you know the sport inside and out, does not mean that you can teach the sport! Just because you are a good leader does not mean that you are a teacher! A good coach is a natural blend of many different qualities and characteristics! A good coach knows this about theirselves and surrounds themselves with others that can fill in the blanks as needed. A good coach is aware that they don't know everything! It takes a SPECIAL person to be a good coach! Not just every, "Tom", "Dick" and "Harry" should apply for the job!

I in the original post of this thread mentioned KNOWLEDGE. If you don't have knowledge of the gameyou are cheating the team from day 1! There are a LOT of teams getting cheated from day 1 out there! Agree with you on the ability to teach thing as you will see in my other post!

I am gonna have to make it a point, to get over and see your team and do some research, to find out if your team thinks "you are all that and a bag of chips! I'm not saying that you aren't! I hope for your players sake, you are!

you're welcome any time, hunter huss, gastonia, jv team, we have a .500 record right now, but we get better every day, and everyone, and i mean everyone plays on my team, all 13 girls play every game. but i'm not perfect in any aspect, the things i listed are the things i personally strive for, you'll have to ask my kids if i'm close to that or not.

The fact that you try to strive

The fact that you try to strive for these things says something! The sport is supposed to be about the players! The players deserve the best that can be given on every team! It doesn't matter if you are a home economics teacher, if you can teach the sport, great, if nyou can't teach the sport, step aside and let someone who can teach the sport do the job! Or at least get an assistant or helpers that know how to teach the sport! Just because you have played the game doesn't mean that you can teach other people how to play the game! Post On People!
