Go to most any major college softball website and look up the roster. You will see players from several states away. These coaches don't care where a player is "from". Their aim is to WIN GAMES, or they don't keep their job for long. This is serious stuff, ya'll. It's not "feel good" and play the locals. If their recruiting budget can stand oit, they go for it.

UT has the largest softball budget in the country; well north of 300K and this does not include scholarships or salaries. They can recruit anywhere and offer the kid everything (great travel, first class hotels).
