I wish we were playing a doubleheader today....the weather is perfect.

The original scenario is you either have two dominate pitchers and an average team or three or four outstanding posistion players and average pitching. This being the case I stand by my earlier post. Now if you have really good hitters in your 6 7 8 spots you have an outstanding offensive line up given that the 1 2 3 4 5 are at least as good as the 6 7 8. Who wouldnt take that line up.

Give me the pitching and I'll take my chances with the average Joe's. As long as the defense is solid, I like my chances. This is also coming from an ex-pitcher who has a son that pitches. Go figure!!!

Little ol major league squad the just broke the curse of the Bambino had:

1/Great/good pitching (Maybe heroic is a better term)
    2/Horrible defense
    3/ Great hitting
4/ AWESOME CHEMISTRY + A WILL TO WIN

I know we are talking about High School but the principle is still the same. ANd by the way I am a Braves fan. "Pitching galore. Decent hitting. Great defense. But almost no chemistry/will to win year after year after year....
I think it is magnified in testostorone laden 16-18 year olds.
