    Heureux d'avril Poisson

The latest sensation from France, this 7'2" pitcher for the LaSerge club outside of Paris is also getting a lot of looks from MLB teams.

"He's raw" said Brian Phillips, European scout for the Montreal Expos, "but he has so much potential".

Poisson, who weights 325, has been clocked at 97 mph this year ... and has hit 17 batters, hospitalizing 2. The 17 year old phenom has yet to harness any of his wildness. So far this season, he has walked 4 times as many batters as he has struck out. The league had to stop a player from attempting to wear catchers gear in the batters box in an effort to defend himself.

He still hasn't allowed a hit. "Once he see's a pitching coach", Phillips stated, "we believe we can harness his power".

The league will be happy to see him go, for several reasons. Andre Mousin, team manager of LaSerge stated that teams have become "hesitant to schedule us".
