whats happened to usssa softball??

it may just be me , but i usssa fastpitch softball has been going down hill all year!! this weekend there are 2 14&u team in charlotte playing and the winner of that game is the state rec. champ and then both teams move up to play 16&u! hopefully , this can turn around and things will pick up!!!

 

Lack of communication between the directors and the customers of fast pitch softball tournaments. They have been relying on out-dated communication tools (example, playing phone tag for days, versus using the internet website, to inform customers of "who's playing" and "what times are games", etc). It was riduclulous this past Spring, to deal with USSSA. In the past, they have provided good tournaments, fair umpiring, a quality product. To me, they have or had lost focus on the fact that they were offering a product and that there were customers involved. Instead, they came across as, they were doing us, the customer, a favor, by putting on tournaments.

We do not play this organization's tourneys anymore, at least not at 16U or 18U but Wayne Pearson used to do a great job. I think he has been ill for several years now and has not had the energy to put into the tournaments. Hate to see this organization fade because it was especially good for younger ages.

 

last year we went and played a 16&u usssa tourney in charlotte,and ALL fgames ended saturday nite at 5pm!!!! they brought evey1 back(all ages ) sunday at 8.30am and by 9 the bottom fell out and that was that!! we paid $295 and played 2 games!!!!!!the guys from the wiston area run far better tournments and go out of there way to make you happy!!! i think the guys name is buster. keep the commets coming!!!

 

alexander cubs come in 3rd in the carolinas -va rec state!!!! went 2-2 and both games we lost were by 1 run!!! great job cubs !!! megan laxton had a great 4 games with over 20 ks against teams that were 2-3 yrs older !!!! congrats to all our girls !!!!
