It could be about recruiting. It could be about hitting, pitching, camps, showcases, coaches, schools...... But when you reflect, what is the one piece of advice that stands alone?

    Hmmm...

I'll have to think on mine for a while... but I bet Kevin11's will be "keep your eye on the ball!"

    Best Advice

What you do when no one is watching will determine what you can do when everyone is watching.

    YOU NEVER KNOW WHO'S WATCHING

Look like a player, act like a player and play like a player, from the time you get off the bus until you head for the house. It just takes one scout/coach to like what they see to change your life!

About 4 years ago a certain, "Coach 27" said I should let my son go to Rocky Mount Senior High if he wanted to. At the time he was going to a small private school. What a sage!!

    Let's see......

It was a very cold day in early March.:WEFreezingColdHL1:Score was tied. I think??? Late innings need to get the run across. I was along the fence on the third baseline. We had a runner to get on. Another hit runner advances. Then a hit.. runner from second advances to third.. makes a turn. I'm yell go...go..go home. Third base coach holds the runner. Then takes a look at the fence. You know he is looking at you. :tears3: Then in a firm voice says.... "If you want to coach get your own team." I worked my way down the fence. My son keep playing won many games :FIAcademyAwardHL:and I learned that day how to be a fan. :cheer:

Ty was about 5...I'm throwing sky-high-fly balls...He's catching them but with his arms extended. I say: "Put your nose under the ball & 'look' it in your glove." He says: "But what if I miss?" I say: "You'll catch it...trust me."

Next fly...nose under ball...BAM hits him in the forehead/nose. Blood & tears flow. "You promised I would catch it." "Trust me, you will next time." Hasn't missed one since.
