:quiet: Runners on 1st and 2nd. The batter bunts the runners over, and instead of an out he reaches first on a bad throw- Sac or error? I think its a sac because that was the intent
Does reaching the base go towards the OBA?

Scoring is based on what happened, not intent. Error on the defense. Does not add to OBA.

Error, if in the scorer's judgement a good throw would have recorded the out. If the bunt is fielded cleanly and a good throw and catch are made at first, and the runner is safe because he beat the throw, then it's a HIT.

It's still counted as a sac bunt, but it's a sac bunt with error: "...if the batter would have been put out at first base if the defensive team attempted to do so without committing an error in the attempt, the batter gets credit for a sac bunt." (Baseball Scorekeeping by Andres Wirkmaa)
Turbostats allows you to enter this as a sac bunt with error, but you still have to manually enter a similar situation when it is a sac fly with error.

    Love these scoring questions....

I love these questions because the replies illustrate how variable scoring is in baseball. I consider myself knowledgable, but untrained. Others may be better trained and others may lack both training and knowledge....then the .260 hitter becomes a .385 hitter and the ERA calculations are all over the place. I may have scored this one incorrectly.....and therein lies the problem.

Buckeye has it correct. Sac with an error. If runner(s) scored because of error, there would be no RBI as they should have only advanced one base on the sac attempt.

If the situation was runners on 2 & 3, you still would have a sac with error but award an RBI for the runner on third scoring.
