Thanks CF. Our girls (All Conferences) are catching up. They are a force to be reckoned with. How about a little catch phrase.............HMMM............"Put The K.O. on the C.O." We got the pitching and it's catchy I think! LOL
HMMMM..... How 'bout.... "The poor girl with a rich bat beats the rich girl with the poor bat"?
    Just suggestions.
I am sure I have stirred it up now. Haha.

Sarah Soesbee, Enka senior pitcher-going undefeated in regular season play for 6 straight years (7th-12th grades)
Only 2 losses in post season play-at the 2004 State Championship game.
Yeah, I'm bragging, but we are proud of her and the whole team.

You are right EnkaMom......... and you have every right to brag. I have said it before. That is a good girl and good pitcher to boot. She deserves all the attention she gets. I didn't mean to disclude her. I'll go to my corner now.

Some of these are really good. Unfortunately, these girls play outside my jurisdiction.

Yuppies? Ouch. I have a permanent blue collar, I'llhave you know. Truthfully, we don't sell enough papers in the Asheville area to justify covering those teams. We sell less than 500 daily in Marion and have had discussions about "black Friday-ing" McDowell.

But they play in the Northwestern 4A and everyone knows how much I respect Silver and his program so.....

    Dear Mr. Wertz,

Thanks for the reply. I certainly respect your honesty. Although these teams and girls may be outside your "jurisdiction", they are definately within your "obligation" considering it is playoff time.
Who would like to be the reporter who didn't give the scoop to his readers within the Observer's necessary subscription demographic without giving those teams and parents (who pay for the papers) an "inside scoop" on what to expect, so that their individual daughters might succeed?
Just a thought. If you need help may I be so bold as to suggest that you e-mail Sam Wardle at [email protected] ? He will help you without any trace of parent, coach or area bias.
    Thanks for the reply.
