    West Rowan is currently at 0-5. East Rowan is rolling smoothly with a 5-0 record. The mustangs actually beat the falcons tonight.

    Rocky Mount: 4-1 (lost 5-4 to Greenville Rose)
    C.B. Aycock: 5-1 (lost 3-2 to North Lenoir)

    D.H. Conley: ? (has lost twice to Northern Nash)

    You know if you are gonna make rankings you can make an effort to get out and get to know TEAMS and what the players and programs are all about. Or, you can just set back and let it come to you. Seems the credibility is gone. I really do believe a couple of years ago that effort was being made to get the info and be accurate. I hate it when this happens to HS baseball. Seems rankings need to fall back to hands of the HS coaches who understand that the traditional programs will rise, and winning programs don't ride on a single hitter that happened to play for a certain off season team, where individual performance is stressed over TEAM play.

    We're fine so far (Ragsdale). We need to see some stronger teams. We have Glenn coming up, Asheboro and then Randleman with Tuttle on the mound. We lost the Southern Alamance game to rain. Northern Nash and Southwest Guilford are the best we have seen. We need some closer games to see how we can overcome. Probably the best team we have seen was Wesleyan in a scrimmage. I wish we could scrimmage them every Saturday. We would both get better.

    When it comes to the polls and the rankings, the only part Impact--through Andy- plays is gathering the information and posting results. There are many that participate, including at one time TBR, and many more that can. The problem Andy has is getting timely information back from the coaches participating. It is difficult to keep up with and very hard to get all the information needed to make an informed decision. We tried it and it was very, very difficult.

    I keep in mind that polls mean nothing; just like non-conference games. It's fun and allows for discussion, but it has no bearing on one's season.


    If getting involved with polls is something that you like to do and can gather timely information, then please send Andy an email---he would love the help. If it was something that we could do well on TBR, we would help him, too. But I tried and I just couldn't get timely info.
