Spencer Steedley is a senior at East Rowan this spring. He has pitched in the past and he throws very well and throws hard too. He's also a first baseman who hits the ball very well WITH POWER (trust me). Unfortunately (or fortunately) he had major shoulder surgery just in the past month or so; therefore, he will NOT be pitching this spring. It is possible that he MAY pitch towards the end of American Legion season; however, as you previously stated, he has already either signed or (at least committed) to attend UNCC next year and play baseball. I'm sure the UNCC coach doesn't want Steedley to jeopardize his future, so I'd be very surprised to see Steedley pitching this summer. Nevertheless, the UNCC folks are happy to be getting Steedley because of his potential to pitch and his powerhitting.

East Rowan fans will only get to watch Steedley's bat during his senior season...

Oops...sorry, my mind must have been elsewhere..not difficult at my age. Patrick Allen is a friend and his name stuck to me, sorry Patrick Adams. I need to wipe that post out and start over :D

Was Lucas at the World Woodbat Tournament in Jupiter? I thought I watched him pitch down there. But in my Alzheimer days, I might be wrong...I do know, in the fall, he was attracting a lot of interest.

Someone else will have to answer about Lucas being at "that" specific camp,,, sorry I can't. But yes I would imagine that Lucas is drawing a sh**load of interest from college scouts. He will be one of the best pitchers in the state this spring, and at LEAST this immediate area.

    Another Injury Question

I remember hearing that Brad Boob over at Butler got injured right at the end of football season. Didn't he pitch for Butler last year? Has anyone heard of his progress? What class is he in? Any projections for coming back?

No...he won't be catching this year. Suffered a major injury in the football game against Providence, so will not play baseball, but still comes out to the practices.

Sorry, Braves, I was trying to be cute and wasn't very clear -- I don't know how to use that "quote" "Braves originally wrote" stuff that you experts use all the time.

Anyway, my source :anon: about the Christian pitching rotation for the Easter tournament claims to have gotten a preliminary indication from the other horse's mouth -- the one who fills out the lineup card. But obviously a lot can change between now and April.

PS Sure would be nice to get some :sun: instead of all this rain and :cold: that makes us need :coffee: to stay warm.

I don't think Daniel always fills out the lineup. I thinks he allows feedback from the coach :)
