    South Granville Duo

Zack Cooper from South Granville. Four year starter at SG and was conference POY and All-State in 2011. Having a solid year as a senior. Batting 400 with a couple of HRs. Starts at ss/pitcher for SG but can play anywhere on the field. Zack is a solid pitcher with 65 Ks in 40 innings of work this year. Very Good overall player.

David Paff - Big, strong 1st baseman at South Granville. David is hitting over 400 with 6 homeruns so far. David absolutely crushes the baseball.

Rylan Mikeska improved his overall record to 7-1, getting a W against SPC leading Robinson, Blake Sides stayed hot at the plate. Both solid talents that play good team that are only playing as an average team.... Both could be big time talent at the next level.

Just because stats are fun, here are a few from a pitcher that has not gotten 1 offer as a pitcher due to his velo. (78-82) Yep, Dalton Eisenbath at Butler. In 3 regular season games on the bump vs Providence......

    IP 17.2
    ER 6
    K 18
    ERA 2.37
Took the loss in these games 4-2, 4-0, and 4-3.

Include last years epic 11 inning battle at AK with no decision in 3-2 loss.
    IP 9
    ER 1
    K 5
    ERA 0.77

Last year regular season 5-1 with 61 IP at 2.61 ALL-SW4A
This year regular season 3-3 with 1 save with 6 CG at 2.01
    Career 8-4 at 2.30

CG wins over Sweet 16's Mallard Creek and Hough.

He is finally getting nibbles as a 1st baseman/hitter.

    Wow.

Don't you just love how guys get pigeon-holed into not being a prospect because of size, velocity, etc. Intangibles play such a huge role in a players ability to play the game......would rather have a guy 78-82 out there that is an absolute bulldog (pardon pun) than a guy who is 89-91 who has control issues and doesn't compete.......

Yes they are and. ....Rylan has a win against them as well. If I remember correctly, he held NW
to five hits...none of which were homers. Not that anyone in the Trojan line-up
could hit one out or anything....:)

Sounds like you may know a guy who is 91 with control problems and lack of competetive edge.

Sometimes it can also be the dreaded disease enlargus headamus, which often times is somewhat genetic, ie, passed from parents who carry clickers, video cameras and radar guns - uh, but only to the games Junior pitches...:biggrina:

keep looking for Luke Pepper of Cox Mill HS to come up on this post. I asked his dad last night if there was any interest. Kid is someone I would think coaches would be looking at. Hits for Avg (350) Power and drives in Runs (22). big frame to build on - I think he is almost 6'4" and has thrown a no hitter this year. His Dad say that he is set on doing Pharmacy in college - really wants to be a PharmD - going to App State to study. Would be a good walk on up there - Congrats
