posting in bold or caps is the equivilant of yelling, and just attracts attention and jabs.....bragging about your team on this forum will get attention all right, but not exactly what you want, as can be seen.

my job is to try and keep things on subject, and its often difficult to get things back to subject, especially when everyone seems to have a point to make or get their jabs in on someone else.....so if someone says what i'm thinking, i sometimes fall subject to agreeing.....which is the case here, i am human after all.

Please stop typing in caps and yes, we know you have a good team....

    now, back to the topic.....

Slowly but surely I realize we are reading the same page from different copies of the SAME book!! As I have stated...I agree 100%!!!...I think my difference in thought comes from the "true shut down pitcher". I think in terms of double digit k's on a consistent basis. These are the rare, rare athletes. Whereas the 7 k average with the ability to control how and where the ball is hit for the other 14 outs is very effective. As the list shows the dbl digit k average is an elite group.

Thanks for each response! I have been away from TBR for awhile and have enjoyed checking back in!!!

There is one I can think of

One has been successful but I think it would offend the pitcher to compare the two speed wise 57-58 range so I wont add a name. I have enjoyed watching her pitch as well. Also pitches up in the zone at that speed like Schmidt could. Could be wrong but I doubt schools like LSU recruited her.
