Assuming games on Tuesday are postponed to Wednesday, do you throw your #1 or #2?

Thats a tough decision......You have your best who has another day of rest (four days which is plenty) so for that reason I would go with the #1; however in saying that you must remember that #2 is going to have to win for you at some point even if it isn't until the regional series.

You can always go with #2 for as long as he can go and then at the 1st sign of trouble go with #1. 2 can get you as deep in the game as he can even if its only for 7-8 outs. 21 outs isn't alot and unless pitch count is high you can go with 1 as much as possible. Arms should be in good shape this time of year. Just my two cents........

How much confidence do you have in #2?
How many days can a pitcher not pitch and still be sharp?
    Who are you playing?
How many pitches did 1 throw last game?
Looking forward, who will be the next opponent, are they stronger or weaker than current opponent?
Is there any history between either pitcher and current or next opponent?
Are games home or away, who handles hostile environments better?

Those are all very important questions but the main variable is that you cannot play Round 3 until you win Round 2! Just my opinion.....

In the first several rounds of HS playoffs,,,, if you dont win today, there is no tomorrow.

Agree with what someone said, in order to go far, at some point your going to have to win with your #2 also.

I'd go with your back-up catcher.

Your #1 is your #1 for a reason. Best stuff, most confident... No reason to take a chance and "save" him when there is no tomorrow if you lose.

No brainer. You have to win today to get to play Friday. If #1 is rested guess who pitches. If he goes 6-7 today he can still go 3 Friday.

    Porter Ridge

We have (2)#1s so it should not hurt us. They are the same guys who pitched us to 4a quarter-finals last year.
