the "sour" 16 is a complete joke!! first off, shelby and burns arent there!! both temas are atleast top 15, easy!! next, what the heck is albermarle doing above richmond senior?? richmond would beat albermarle by 2 tds or more, easy!! as for country day, and catholic, they are jokes this year!! burns or shelby, or even crest for that matter could knock them off by half time!! South point 10th? what the heck are these people smokin?? can we say #1 or #2!! And NorthWestern below South Point, umm, dont i remember NW beating SP? i believe so!! As for maiden, a mediocore 2A team that couldnt beat any Cleveland County team, except KM, which we no longer claim!!

these people at the charlotte observer need to get their heads straight and realize high school football isnt only played in charlotte, nor is it played by past seasons, no matter how good a team WAS!!

the sweet 16, quite frankly, is a complete JOKE!

plus answer me this, how can it be that burns is ranked NO LOWER than 5 in any other poll, but not even in this one?? makes no sense at all!! same goes for shelby, they are atleast an HM in all polls, except here..a joke i tell you! what IDIOTS!!

 

As a Burns grad from 1997, I have to say the Sweet 16 omission is hogwash! Last week they receive votes, then they beat North Gaston, and suddenly they don't receive any more votes!! Burns is THIRD IN THE 3A POLL AND NOT EVEN IN THE SWEET 16!!!!!!

 

don't be so sure... Albemarle hasn't allowed a TD all season and they are fielding enough players to be 4A
